Nothing, but I got you to start reading this so DONT STOP NOW! From Chicago to Colorado to right here in Las Vegas; Happy Tuesday to you and yours!
I have recently started what most people would call an "unhealthy obsession" with a singer by the name of George Ezra. If your in to that folky, bluesy, rock feel/sound you will love this guy. The British 21 year old released his debut EP Did You Hear The Rain? in October of last year (spoiler alert! It's amazing). Sooo with out further adieu, the Song Of The Day goes to.... *drum roll* Mr. Ezra himself! His song Budapest, is not only fun to say but a great feel good song for you to sing along to on this beautiful afternoon.
UPCOMING EVENTS AND NEWS
For all you country lovin' folks out there, this weekend marks the 1st annual Route 91 Harvest Festival!
The event will take place October 3rd-5th across from Mandalay Bay and The Luxor in the MGM Resorts Village (confused? It will be in the big empty parking lot across from the two hotels). The festival will
include headliners Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean!
3-day passes are still available anywhere from $169-$199!
Now to clarify, this is a blog of music and food in the WEST. So yes, Texas is just as important as Nevada and this festival is going to be one of the best this year. Austin City Limits or ACL is going to take place this coming weekend, October 3rd-5th, and the weekend after that, October 10-12th. Headliners include Eminem, Pearl Jam, Outkast, Skrillex, and Beck. The musical diversity of this festival isn't even the best part. The food lineup is what caught my attention. Anything from ice cream and hot dogs to chili spiked watermelon (?!) and cones filled with chicken, shrimp and avocado. In addiction there will be a farmers market, art market, and chef showcase! Can't make it to Austin this weekend? No problem! I will be posting the link to the official Austin City Limits website where the live stream of the festival can be viewed by everyone. No need for any FOMO this weekend. (FOMO- fear of missing out)
So lets raise our glasses, bob our heads to the beat, and chow down on this fine Tuesday!
