SOTD goes to Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance (I told you it was random). I use to (and still do) get down to this song. Like one man band style in the car where your moving around so much you start to shake your car... and no that isn't embarrassing. The band formed in 2001 with members Gerard Way (vocals), Ray Toro (Guitar), Frank Lero (guitar), Mikey Way (bassist) and James Dewees (keyboardist). Formation happening shortly after the 9/11 attacks, Gerard Way was moved and influenced by the attack so much that he wanted to start his own band to be able to express his own feelings. The name of the band was thought of by younger brother Mikey Way and influenced by the book entitled Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance. The guys released their debut album in 2002 titled I Brought You My Bullets, you Brought Me Your Love. The first album was released with help from Eyeball Records. They then signed with Reprise Records the following year with the major label debut of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004. This album was a major hit and even earned the band platinum level status. 2006 was the released of their next commercially famous album, Welcome To The Black Parade. The bands fourth album release came in 2010 with Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. The band announced its break up on March 22nd, 2013, just one month after releasing the collective work of Conventional Weapons. Lead Gerar Way has gone on to start his solo career. R.I.P to a band that I so enjoyed all through my middle school days.
